Tapping the tree
Latex is tapped from Hevea rubber trees on Sri Lankan plantations.
Moulding
Foamed latex goes into the pin-core moulds — that's where the pinholes come from.
Curing
Steam sets it into one resilient piece. Out of the mould, it's finished — nothing is added afterwards.
